Our Mission Statement...

JROC was formed to "provide resourcees to complete improvements in the James River Park and to educate and advise others on park issues in partership with the Richmond Recreation and Parks Foundation."

Who We Are....

JROC's membership is comprised of metro area citizens who are concerned about the future of the James River Park System . We are people who seek ways to improve our local parks along the James River.

What We Do...

JROC does a number of things to benefit the Park System. JROC works to identify necessary park improvements. We raise funds to maintain and improve facilities at the James River Park. To date, we have helped build a new 14th street takeout and a fence around the Reedy Creek parking area to protect park user's vehicles and property. We have also helped in the effort to restore the Pump House at Byrd Park. Additionally, JROC constructed the changing rooms at Reedy Creek and the 14th street takeout and made improvements to the Manchester climbling wall and Belle Isle bike\hiking paths. Check out our Projects page.
