Pony, Pasture, Dirty Dozen sites + 3, Skimming from 12th – 14th Street.

X-Terra, James River Adventure Games, Also a Slave Trail Walk – Many River related events occurring that day.

Banner: Rich Young has done an incredible job submitting designs, taking photographs. The last design, approved, is below and will be printed with the $100 already allotted by JROC.

Canoe Slide at Reedy Creek: Broken, needs roller fixed.

James River Adventure Games (Mike McCormick – Sports Backer):  A James River Fund has been established to take in and distribute money to the James River Park and other river areas in need as part of the James River Adventure Game Weekend 14th – 15th. Monies will be allocated to this fund per entrant.

Ralph had figures of an understood $5/X-Terra entrant, but not necessarily the fact from Mike. This year there are higher numbers of James River Scramble entrants and fewer X-terra participants. Ralph and others asked for a statement to be put on the ticket or registration form stating that a portion of the ticket or entry fee goes to supporting the trail.

A sign-up sheet was distributed for those serving beer at the concert and evening events. $10 per volunteer goes to the volunteer’s organization.

This year there will also be a photography contest among other ‘fun’ things

Greater Richmond Boat Race (Nathan Burrell): Nathan reported on a flatwater effort to promote regionality with funds going to river organizations (bringing together the region around the river – together we stand). It will be held July 12 in the flatwater portion of the river below 14th Street Bridge.

Will feature a ‘spectacle” race as well as a worthy vessel race (with no motor only muscle power). Person behind this is Rick Tatnall. There is a need for boats to ferry people back and forth from one side of the river to the other as well as for safety. This is modeled after a similar event on the Thames…Nathan has just completed first-hand Thames research. Safety assistance is needed.

Trailwork – Nathan: Is grinding to a halt with the advent of summer. The new bridge on Buttermilk is beautiful and need to put signs noting JROC on the bridge.

Buttermilk West – Discussion with MORE: Trail is now becoming overgrown. MORE can cover the insurance necessary and is just waiting for the city to draw up a recreational easement agreement. The city needs to step up to the plate on this one. Josh Rogers is just happy to put the bridge down to open access, but waiting on this agreement. Greg Rollins has taken the discussion lead with these negotiations. Waiting!

Conservation Easement – Ralph: He says negotiations are at a technical level and expects it to come before City Council this summer.

Missing Link Trail: Looking to make improvements (Great trail as is  - Secretary’s bias).

Bike Map: Hoping to redevelop.

Bike-Walk Chapter – starting in Richmond. Working with GRTC to develop Bike-Walk.

Bike Patrol: Waiting to hear word from city. Rarin’ to go. Heard nothing to date.
