Meeting Called to Order: 6:10PM

 

 

 

 

 

Conservation Easement Status:  Same old. Same old.

 

Northshore Takeout: People have been moving rock. Looks good. Still have goal of making ramp.

 

Trail Work: Lorne: Pumphouse: Bateaux Dock going very well. Have framing and floor joists in. Many people have been helping: VCU, Sacred Heart Center and JROC. Should have carpentry done by the end of the week Come 9:00 this Saturday of you can help.

 

Trail Hikes:  Lorne: No Public Hikes until summer. School Field Trips season full until mid May.

 

Sharing Meetings with MORE:  We will talk and exchange a shared agenda. Not interested in meeting at Legends.

 

Swap Meet: Information will be put on the web. Thanks Jim. Set up at 7:00am on Saturday, April 26, 2008. Decided we should use the tag line, “It’s Not That Kind of Swap Meet”.

 

 

     

Pumphouse Dock: Working Sat from 9-2 on Bateaux Dock. JROC volunteers are needed.

 

Belle Isle: Ralph needs help with Fish Release on April 13th.

Scenic Road Designation for Riverside Drive: Need letter of support.

 

Graffiti and Break-ns: Gang graffiti at Huguenot, Oxford and Tredegar Streets

 

 

 

Belle Isle: “Slaughter-Rama” took place with over 1000 people. They cleaned up and it will be permitted next year.

 

                        Drought: Park and Park officials are developing a plan to deal with drought.

 

Salamander Spawn: Successful but habitats were dry.

 

 

 

Fish Festival: Saturday, April 19th: Need fishing kayaks! Kayak demos! Held at South end of Mayo Bridge along path and up to Tower. There will be fishing for kids and fly-fishing. DCR and Game and Inland Fisheries will participate.
