| PROJECT REPORT: | |
| 1. McGuire Bridge Fence: Kudos to the fence builders. CSX approves, but denied Gunn’s request to ride the rails “Hobo Style” back to put in. Railway Men remain on Yellow Alert. Sorry Dave. | |
| 2. North Shore Take-out: JROC has petitioned the Mayor. Thnx. Ralph and Greg. VA DCR is in favor of the idea and willing to work on alternative sites and financing, etc. Potential sites include: W. End of Mayo. Ensign to petition contacts at AW for assistance. Process but no progress; so keep taking your vitamins, medicine and exercise. | |
| 3. Tree Cutting Letter: Greg has sent one to Director of Rec. & Parks. Fine has since been levied. | |
| 4. Proforma to redo misspelling on plaque. Spell checkers wanted. Thnx. Proforma. | |
| 5. High Water Permit: Brian goes in circles for two months and is directed to “The Source,” Ralph W. | |
| 6. Trail Maintenance: NIMBA, MIMBA, or MAMBO trail building classes went well. Excellent work and education. Let’s bring these go-getters back. We like the way they drain. Thnx. Dan. Who will write thanks letter. | |
| 7. Walkway railing project for nature center will have Dan Caston in the lead with Steve with a P. as concrete foreman. | |
| 8. Other trail Issues: Dan and Monty will co-fore the railway on the Missing Link Trail near the climbing wall. Need an explicatory sign at 5th and Canal to induce awe and reverence in populace as they behold the beginnings of the 1st US canal. Ralph W. seeking C of R permission. Fantasy project proposed: Buttermilk link to Powhite. Bob Burch to John Henry this one. | |
| 9. 6/12/04 is river clean-up | |
| 10. Gift baskets, many JROC members, Susanne does Italian and it happens Sa-tur-day. The 20th that is. Meet at Reedy Creek at 10 am to deliver gift baskets to Hillcrest residents. Party with Richmond Whitewater Club Sat. night at 7pm at the Commercial Tap house. | |
| 11. Next Meeting: Jan 7th at Legends. Chris Hull agrees to sleep over and ensure we get the back room. | |
| 12. Feb. Meeting at Riverside Development Corp. Tell your friends and please dress for success. | |

| Brian meets with Ralph regarding high water permits and agrees to draft letter to mayor for RWC and JROC. Will fax to Ralph and email JROC’s to Greg for approval. | |

| Ralph H. will continue to grease the wheels of local government, Within the Law. Ralph H., to advance the take-out dream. | |
| Steve E. will oversee the concrete pour for the nature center ramp way. | |
| Mike Mc. will design the Warner bridge project. Members will work on it Sat 20th at 11am. | |
| Pony Pasture changing rooms remain in the collective design fantasies of all JROC members. | |
