JROC December 2000 Meeting Minutes

	MEETING ATTENDEES: Greg Velzy, Michael McGuire, Ralph Hambrick, Glen Chalkley, Kimberly Conley, Buzz Kraft, Bob Burch, Elaine Casper, Chip Atkins, Roger Sattler, John McGuire, Susanne Smith, Shari Caston, Dan Caston, Stephen Ensign, Chris Hull, Kevin Clark, Jonathan Austin, Jeff Ault, Barry Dixon, Alicia Zatcoff, Casey Cockerham, Brian Mutchler and Mike Martin.
	MINUTES Motion by Buzz to approve January 2, 2002 minutes – second by Dan … minutes approved.
	TREASURER'S REPORT Treasurer reported $1,131.00 as of Jan. 1 and $410 as of Feb. 1 Seal Team Donation to JROC in the amount of $1,000. THANKS! Coastals donation to JROC in the amount of $1,000 to put towards Tredegar Takeout in Garland Reese’s name. THANKS!
	PROJECT REPORT Landmark Theater – What sorts of events should we accept as projects? Need to get list of events to take place.
	Northshore Takeout – the group voted that Northshore is the new name of the take out. Other names posed were 14^th Street Takeout and North 14^th Street Takeout. Things discussed: takeout too muddy, lots of debris, use rip-rap in lot, put gravel in lot, put granite on top of landing, security camera on light pole (fake) and 55 gal trash cans for takeout.
	Tredegar Access – Coastals donation for Garland Reese Memorial Stone at Tredegar. Glenn will get with Coastals to decide on wording for memorial. Some discussion on dedication ceremony – further discussion coming.
	Mountain Bike Trails – further discussion needed on ways to control/manage mountain bike races. Don’t want to have additional trails cut through parks.
	Pictures of Projects – Steve Ellison has pictures of projects that will be posted on website.
	Missing Link Trail – Ralph is pleased with work so far on trail…still lots to do…will keep sand available to do work. This is our March project!
	22nd Street Bike Access – Concerns that trail dumps into 22^nd street parking lot…would like to put in speed bump to slow down cars and/or paint yellow line across parking lot. Also, motion by Dan to spend up to $50 for stop sign to put at that intersection for bikes, second by Stephen, motion approved.
	Recycling Containers – do we want to build containers for recycling?
	WEBSITE Discussion of website listing too much information about JROC members. It was voted to have President and Vice-President name and email on website and all others could opt-out. No need to have all members’ information listed.
	MEMBERSHIP Working on new flyer and bumper sticker/decal with JROC logo. Need to find disk with logo – someone will contact Trish Payne. Shari will co-chair membership committee with Susanne.Elections will be held in March. Think about those nominations!! Greg’s doing a GREAT job as prez and Dave G., well, please be Secretary again!!!
	Fundraising - Should have report in March by Greg or Monty on corporate fundraising.
