YES.

Richmond City Council tonight voted unanimously in favor of the Conservation Easement protecting the James River Park System in perpetuity.

Years ago people didn’t even dare to dream of this as a possibility, but it is now fact.

  The list of folks to thank is way too long to list everyone but, THANK YOUs to:

Kathy Graziano and David Hathcock for making sure the dream stayed alive.

Charles Price and John Zeugner for the dirty work.

Bob Steidel from DPU for getting “utilities” on our side.

JR Pope for being the Director to stand up and say “This IS a good thing!”

Joe Maroon, Director of Va. DCR who said yes, the state will cover your back J.

…and Ralph White… for whom simple words can not express the heartfelt sentiment of all who cherish our time at the river that he has kept in its’ natural state in the face of all odds…    Without Ralph, there would be no James River Park System to protect.
